Do I need an appointment?
We recommend you make an appointment, particularly if you can only get to us on a Saturday as these tend to get booked up first. This gives us time to prepare your design and also gives you a 'cooling-off' period! We do occasionally have 'walk-in' slots available, so feel free to call-in. If no slots are available, we'll book you in. A deposit of 20% will secure your slot. Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. Sorry but we don't accept cards. Selected evening appointments are available by prior arrangement.
Can I bring my own design?
Yes, you can. If you have a design, or even just some ideas from pictures, websites, etc, bring them in and we'll talk about how they can be turned into your own unique tattoo.
I'm not sure what I want, do you have designs I can choose from?
Yes, we've got 1,000's of designs you can choose from. Most designs can be resized to make sure they fit your body and you can choose colours etc, so you still get the perfect tattoo for you.
Are there any tattoos you don't do?
We don't usually tattoo hands or faces. Hands take a lot of wear and tear, so the results can be disappointing. Facial tattoos don't have the nickname 'permanent job stoppers' for nothing - so although we love individuality, we won't usually advise them unless you're heavily tattooed already. And we'd always advise you to think carefully about tattooing a partner's name - a tattoo is forever, relationships sometimes aren't! (But if it's too late - see next question!!)
Can you cover up an old tattoo I don't want anymore?
In most cases, yes. We'll suggest the best way to cover up an old tattoo and give you a new one you'll love!
Can I look at examples of your work?
Of course! All the photos on this website are examples of Lee, our tattoo artist's, work. More of Lee's portfolio is available to view at the tattoo studio.
How do I know everything's sterile?
All tattoo studios must be registered with the local authority and display a certificate to show this. We use new, disposable needles for all our customers. The 'tips & grips' - the rest of the tattoo machine parts, are sterilised between each use to the highest medical standards.
How do I look after my new tattoo?
The tattooist will give you full instructions for aftercare. Your new tattoo will be covered before you leave the studio, when you get home, wash and pat dry and then apply a thin film of a suitable moisturiser. We stock specialist aftercare 'tattoo goo'. Treat the affected area as you would a mild sun burn. DON'T pick or scratch it. Keep the tattoo clean and moisturised until it has completely healed. If you experience any problems, please contact us in the first instance or talk to your GP.
